ABOUT THE PROJECT
SCI-FI MEETS FEMINISM
As a young kid, I have always been deeply inspired by two things: technology and powerful women. Growing up with a pet Tamagotchi, and film titles like Star Wars and Steven Spielberg's A.I. (my favorite film of all time), I was drawn to the humanity one may find within technology.
As I grew older, I kept my fascination for tech and, separately, grew very passionate for social issues and the lack of humanity so many marginalized groups (myself included) encounter.
Wanting to meld the two ideas together, I created this short film "A Seat at the Table". The film navigates misogyny women face in the workplace, female empowerment, and reflections of the self— all with a science fiction twist.

As a Copywriter with film production experience, I’ve been lucky enough to work on some cool projects in my career. One of my proudest achievements was writing, producing, & directing my own short film.
I led a team of talented actors + crew members, inspiring them with my vision & passion for storytelling. I got to exercise creative leadership, manage a tight budget + timeline, & deliver an award-winning product. Take a look at the short film above!

THE BEHIND THE SCENES
Going through the entire process myself has taught me about the extra logistics typical copywriters might not know. This has helped me immeasurably when writing for TV and social media spots.
